Video Series – Part 5 – Trying New Activities
[wpvideo CTN4nHTz]When you move someplace new, you may find yourself surrounded by opportunities to try activities you’ve necer attempted before. Barring activities that are dangerous, immoral, or against your religion, I like to think that trying new activities goes a long way – first, it earns you deeper understanding of the culture. Second, you are likely to create and enrichen friendships with locals by participating in the activities that mean a great deal in their lives.
In the first segment of this series, I mentioned we would get to the cows. In this video, you will see me spending time with them. The Normandie cow is one of my all-time favorites! These are, in my opinion, the most beautiful of all cows, and, look out for the little calf – if Harry Potter were a cow, I’m sure this would be him!
To thank my host sister, Marguerite-Marie, for allowing me to film her cows for this video, I included some brief publicity for her wonderful farm – if you’re ever near Bayeux, in Normandie and want to stay in some pretty intense tents (they’re more like a small home with living and sleeping space, a stove to cook, a bathroom all inside!) note down the website and phone number on the poster in the first few seconds of this video!
